Holistic Health Tip #12

If you or someone you know is suffering from depression, consider yoga. Practicing yoga may help you to overcome the symtoms and get to the root of what is causing the problem.

Through the practice of yoga, you will be attempting to connect to your spirit and reconnecting your mind and body. The process of sitting still and regulating your breathing will help to not only clear your mind but it will also calm your entire body and help to release some of the pressures and stress your body is holding within. With practice, you may begin to see the symptoms of depression begin to dissipate almost immediately. Why not try it today?

I have heard incredible things about yoga, just never been able to wrap my head around it. I used to be extremely active in long distance running. I ran the Comrades Marathon (56 miles) six times and many other ultra marathons and marathons. I really need to get back to that lifestyle and soon. :-)
