Relax – Although this word may be foreign to many it’s important to remember that no human being is equipped to function in constant stress mode. It is unhealthy to have a life filled with all work and no play. Some of the most common health problems that result when a person doesn’t relax enough include high blood pressure, stomach ulcers and other digestive disorders.

It’s important to take some time out for yourself at least once a week, but preferably once a day. This can help to prevent, and in some cases eliminate chronic health problems.

    This one sounds so easy but not always so. It sure is a great reminder as we head toward the holidays and must cram even more into our days. Add some bad weather and boy you will really need to find time to relax. I get occasional bouts of irritable bowel and stress is the cause. I seem to get it a few days after the stress.

    Relaxing is so important. We all need to do what it takes to relax daily. Read a novel, go for a walk, sit on the beach and watch the water.
