Art has come a long way. It used to be expensive and rare, now art can be almost anything–it’s really up to you and what you think is beautiful (and want to display!) With trends in color that translate into art, fashion, and design, ombre has become extremely popular–hair, clothes, nails, walls…it’s everywhere!
The term ombre means “shaded or graduated in tone” and that’s exactly what ombre wall art looks like! The great thing about this type of art is that, even if you’ve never picked up a paint brush, you can paint it yourself!
The main thing you have to be able to do is mix paint. Creating your ombre pallet involves picking the base color that you like and simply adding white to it in different doses to create various lighter shades. Your paint will look something like this.
Once you mix your colors, simply paint them onto a canvas or piece of paper from lightest to darkest (or darkest to lightest). You can paint the stripes vertically like the picture shown above or horizontally like this:
